‘Phenomenal’ feedback to ((BOUNCE)) fitness sessions in St Helens

A UNIQUE fitness brand has proven so popular that class sizes have had to increase to meet demand.

After getting involved in an intense and uplifting workout, Liz Smith, from Eccleston, said that she instantly wanted to bring the “first of its kind” fitness class to her hometown.

Founded in 2014, ((BOUNCE)) fitness sessions are the “world’s leading mini trampoline fitness brand” that get people jumping and moving in high-tempo sessions.

A popular movement down South, Liz describes the classes as “fitness sessions that feel like a night out” and hoped to help people shake off the January blues when she brought the project to De La Salle high school earlier this month.

Despite initially not knowing how people would respond, the public sector worker has quickly had to expand her sessions to meet demand.

Liz, a public sector worker who also runs a Latin Dance class in St Helens, said: “The reaction to ((BOUNCE)) has been phenomenal!

“People have been scrambling to book the places available hence increasing class sizes to meet demand and the atmosphere in classes is incredible.

“You can feel people’s energy in the room and see how much fun they’re having even though they’re working really hard and getting sweaty.”

With dance music, disco lights, and uplifting choreography, Liz said people have already noticed a rapid weight loss due to the high intensity of the classes.

There is also a social element to the classes as residents of all ages are getting people out and active during the dark winter nights.

Following the initial success of ((BOUNCE)) in Eccleston, Liz is already planning to roll the sessions out across the wider borough, with Newton and Rainhill noted as possible locations.

She is also looking to recruit fitness instructors to help expand the project further.

Liz added: “What’s been really good is that people from all ages have taken part as it is designed for all fitness levels, for people just go at their own pace.

“Some people have described it as the best class they’ve ever been to; that they’ve loved it, can feel the benefits already, and have worked muscles they didn’t know they had!

“The plan is to roll out classes further and to bring ((BOUNCE)) to as many people in St. Helen’s as possible.”
