India coach Rahul Dravid’s emotional message for Rishabh Pant is currently breaking the internet. In a video message posted by the Board of Control of Cricket India (BCCI) on social media, Rahul Dravid could be seen wishing Rishabh Pant a speedy recovery alongside his national teammates. Hardik PandyaSuryakumar Yadav and Shubman Gill.
“Rishabh, I hope you are well. I hope you get better soon. Over the past year, I have had the privilege of watching you play some of the best innings in Indian test record. Whenever we have been in difficult situations, you have the character to get out of very difficult situations. This is one of those challenges, I know you will bounce back like you have so many times this year. I hope to have you back soon, friend,” Rahul Dravid said in the video.
On the other hand, India’s newly appointed T20I captain Hardik Pandya also shared a special message for the “fighter” Rishabh Pant.
Hi Rishabh, just wanted to wish you a speedy recovery. I know you have been a fighter and things are not as you would have liked, but life is life. You will break all the doors and return as you always have. My love and my wishes are with you. The whole team and the nation are behind you,” said Hardik Pandya.

With Rahul Dravid and the members of the India cricket team excited by the Rishabh Pant situation, netizens took to Twitter to praise them for their motivational messages for the lefty.
“Great gestures of encouragement from colleagues. It would definitely motivate Rishabh and instill in her immense strength and stamina to reunite with the team and play explosive innings that are synonymous with Rishabh,” a fan wrote on the microblogging platform.
“Rishabh is a fighter and he will recover from this soon. Get well soon Spidey Rishabh Pant. And yes, after recovery your name will change from Spiderman to Superman,” added another.
The left-hander suffered a terrible accident on December 30 while on his way to visit his mother in Uttarakhand’s Roorkee. According to eyewitness accounts, Rishabh Pant crashed his vehicle into a road divider. He miraculously avoided life-threatening injuries even though his Mercedes Benz caught fire.
The wicketkeeper batsman will remain out of action for the first six months of 2023 after the incident. Multiple media reports suggest the explosive left-footed batsman will certainly miss the crucial four-match Test series against Australia in February-March. Furthermore, he is said to be out of competition for the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) season.
Just a week earlier, he led India to a 2-0 whitewash of Bangladesh in the Test series in the neighboring country. In the process, Rishabh Pant joined a select group of Indian wicketkeepers, including former captain MS Dhoni, in completing 4,000 runs in international cricket.
Earlier this week, Rishabh Pant was transferred to a private suite from the ICU due to concerns of contracting the COVID-19 infection.
“For fear of infection, we have told his family and the hospital administration to move him to a private suite. He is doing better and he will recover soon,” Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) director Shyam Sharma told reporters on Monday.
Although the cricketer is no longer in ICU and out of danger, the extent of his injuries, especially to his knee, ankle and toe, is not yet known as he is in no condition to perform an MRI magnetic. Previously, he underwent plastic surgery on his forehead.
Meanwhile, the near fatal accident of Rishabh Pant provoked a strong reaction from the 1983 World Cup winning skipper, Kapil Dev.
Kapil Dev, known for his harsh assessments, criticized the cricketer’s decision to drive the vehicle himself during early Friday morning when he got into an accident on the Delhi Dehradun road.
According to Kapil Dev, Rishabh Pant could easily afford a driver to drive his vehicle and he should hire someone immediately to avoid such incidents in the future.
Kapil Dev also urged Rishabh Pant to curb his tendency towards emotion which he said was quite normal for a man his age. For the inexperienced, Rishabh Pant is 25 years old.
“This is learning. When I was still a promising cricketer, I was in a motorcycle accident. From that day on, my brother didn’t even let me touch the motorcycle. I am thankful to God that Rishabh Pant is safe,” Kapil Dev said in an interaction with ABP News.
“Yes, you have an attractive car with great speeds, but you have to be careful. You can easily pay a driver, you don’t have to drive it yourself. I understand that one has hobbies or even a passion for those things, it is natural to have it at your age, but you also have responsibilities. Only you can take care of yourself. You have to decide things for yourself,” added Kapil Dev.
